The room was generally comfortable and well-decorated with good amenities. I encountered some issues like noise from neighbors and some cleanliness problems. Staff responsiveness could also improve, as it took a while to get assistance. It was a decent experience for the price.

Had such great stay for the price with attentive staff and unbeatable location to many pubs. Location: the hotel was just next door to restaurants and certain areas and downtown. Local fast food option Wendy's was 5 minutes walk away.

I was in Bend to take a weekend class and I knew I wouldn't be in the room much, so The Dunes was perfect for me. It is a very basic motel, but my room was clean and the bed was comfortable, so for $50/night, it worked for me.
A bit of street noise.

This place suits me perfectly. With free Wi-Fi, tv, and 24-hour security, it's everything I need. The staff once helped me with technical issues. Highly recommend it for a comfortable trip!

We loved staying at the dunes motel..it was a very clean and quite place..and so easy to find. My husband had surgery at st.charles hosp. In bend..and this is very convenient to get to and from the hospital without fighting lots of traffic..nice restaurants within walking distant.. If we ever have to go to bend again...for overnight stay..it will be our number one place to stay and we have told all our friends about it...

I was really surprised by the charming decor and cleanliness of my room. The accessible features.
More dining options would enhance the experience.

The place was clean and cozy. We enjoyed the nearby Tower Theater and Pilot Butte State Park. The entertainment options like a DVD player and cable programming kept us busy. For future guests, just know there's no continental breakfast provided.

It was in the right place for the right price. It was clean and comfortable. Parking was right outside our room. A nice restaurant for breakfast was directly across the street.

The best thing that describes the place is that it is like 15 minutes walk to the Bend downtown area. Rooms are clean inspite of the humble facility in general. This is a budget friendly motel that is good enough not to interfere with the beauty of Bend, a pure simple warm and friendly American town.
Breakfast is more like coffee only. Laundry service is bad. You don't always have the time to program the washer and wait for it especially when it is a business trip

The room at dunes motel was nicely updated with fresh decor. I was really impressed with the clean fixtures and overall vibe. Great for a quick getaway!
I wish there were more dining options on-site to grab a bite .

The daughter of the owner was by far more pleasant and accommodating than the owner/father/manager.
the first room we were put into was old, used up (carpet and overall appearence). Due to some disturbance which required police intervention the young lady gave us a different room which was on the side we had asked for originally but were at the initial request denied. Because we were about to leave all over a sudden several rooms on that side were available. The room we finally settled into was cleaner, however, the sinkstopper did not function, and the "breakfast" offered was an absolute joke. We realize that one cannot expect luxury for this price but everything can still be spic and span and in good working order, especially honesty and integrity up front. We would only stay there again, if all the rooms would be meticulously clean and in top operating condition. The location, the price and the service of the young lady were superb, nevertheless. Right now we can't recommend Dunes.
